TERMS & CONDITIONS
Welcome to McKenzie Plastering & Decorating Service. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure clarity and fairness between us and our customers.
By accepting a quotation and booking work with us, you agree to the following:

1. Quotes & Pricing
• All quotes provided are for labour only unless otherwise stated.
• The cost of materials is not included in the quotation. Where materials are required, we will purchase them on your behalf and provide a receipt. Payment for materials must be reimbursed in full on the same day the receipt is provided.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

2. Deposits & Bookings
• A 25% deposit is required to secure all bookings.
• No booking is confirmed until the deposit has been received.
• Deposits are non-refundable unless we are unable to carry out the agreed work.

3. Payments
• The balance of payment (labour costs) is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Materials purchased on your behalf must be repaid the same day upon receipt of invoice/receipt.

4. Materials & Paint Disclaimer
• If customers choose to supply their own paint, primer, or other materials, McKenzie Plastering & Decorating Service cannot be held responsible for the quality, durability, or performance of those products.
• If customers instruct us to purchase a specific brand of paint that we would not ordinarily recommend (e.g. Valspar instead of Dulux Trade, Johnstone’s, or Zinsser), responsibility for any performance issues lies with the customer.
• For best results, we strongly recommend professional trade-quality paints.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
• All deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the customer, regardless of notice given.
• If you need to reschedule your booking, at least 7 days’ notice is required. We will do our best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.
• If less than 7 days’ notice is given, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure a future booking.

6. Workmanship Guarantee
• We take pride in our workmanship and always prepare and complete surfaces professionally.
• Issues arising from poor-quality or unsuitable paints/materials are not covered under our workmanship guarantee.

7. Liability
• We are fully insured and take every care on site. However, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing issues with the property or for any delays caused by factors outside our control (e.g. weather conditions, customer delays in providing access, etc.).
